December can feel like a whirlwind. Between decorating, shopping, holiday parties, and keeping your family’s usual routines afloat, planning meals often gets pushed aside. Yet, you still need to serve three meals a day, even during the busy holiday season. That’s where a vintage meal plan can save you time, money, and stress. It even provides for good, old-fashioned comfort food for the family dinner table.

1940s Vintage Menus For Early December
Although I love to cook 1950s menus, I usually use 1940s and 1930s recipes because they use far fewer prepared foods and are mostly made from scratch.
These meals use ingredients you likely already have in your pantry, saving money and reducing food waste. They’re designed to fill your family up, leaving everyone satisfied without overindulging. Plus, cooking from scratch creates a sense of accomplishment and the family table is the heart of family culture
