Monday, July 6th
You’re supposed to save half of the cookies for Wednesday. Good luck!
Breakfast
- Berries and cream
- Soft-cooked eggs
- Whole-wheat toast with butter
Lunch
- Stuffed tomato salad
- Toast and butter
- Fresh plums
- Coconut ice box cookies
- Cocoa for all
Dinner
- Braised beef brisket with sweet and sour gravy
- Parsley buttered potatoes
- Buttered new cabbage
- Cucumber and radish salad
- Bread and butter
- Cantaloupe wedges
- Coffee, iced or hot, for adults, milk for children
Tuesday
Today’s dessert uses egg whites only; save the egg yolks for Thursday’s dessert.
Breakfast
- Grapefruit
- Prepared cereal with top milk
- Toast with butter, jelly
- Coffee for adults, milk for children
Lunch
- New peas in cheese sauce
- Celery and carrot sticks
- Whole wheat bread with butter
- Blackberries
- Iced tea for adults, milk for children
Dinner
- Spanish pork chops
- Buttered beets
- Lettuce wedges with Russian dressing
- Whole wheat bread with butter
- Cocoa puff
- Coffee for adults, milk for children
Wednesday
Today’s dinner is a weekly helping of organ meat — heart!

- Sugared sliced peaches

Lunch

Thursday
Remember to use the egg yolks left from Thursday for today’s dessert

Friday
Just remember — it isn’t jellied salmon salad if you don’t make it in a fish-shaped mold and garnish it with olive “eyes.”
